Hello! My name is Ann Bachar. I come from South Africa. I have been living in Akita for 3 years. I enjoy cooking, traveling and swimming. I like living in Akita. The people are friendly and there is still a lot of traditional Japanese culture. I like Japanese food too. Sometimes I try to cook Japanese dishes at home. I hope to see you at James soon!

Hi! My name is Taryn Hill and I am from Cape Town, South Africa. I have been living in Akita for 3 months now. This is my first winter with snow; even though it is freezing cold it is very beautiful and I am keen to try winter sports. I love Japanese food, especially Onigiri, Udon and Mochi. My name is Christian O’Brien. I am from a small town near Chicago in America. I have been living in Akita for almost 3 years now. I really enjoy Akita and I love teaching at James. I like to spend my free time driving and biking in the in the mountains, watching movies and TV at home, and making pottery. I really like teaching at James, I think it is really fun getting to know all the great students.

Hello, I’m Joe Sykes, an Englishman in Akita. I’ve been here for over 8 years and I have no plans to go anywhere else in the future. Akita is the place to be! I live and breathe to teach during the week, but on the weekends you can find me either in the mountains or in the sea. I love snowboarding, mountain biking and swimming in the sea. I also love to meet new people, so please come in so I can meet you too!
